Why Choose Us?
Combining Athletics and Education
Use of a comprehensive approach that integrates education with sports. Students will have the opportunity to spend time focusing on sports which will allow them to develop and excel in their chosen sport, or begin a new path into the world of athletics.
Small Class Sizes
At EDGES Academy we ensure small class sizes which allows for personalized instruction. Teachers are able to tailor lessons, delivery, and method of instruction to ensure that the unique needs of all students are met, including those with exceptionalities. Class sizes will not exceed 15 students.
Experiential and Enriched Learning
Getting students out of their desks and moving, provides opportunities to learn and have fun. Through games, experiments, field trips, or skits, experiential learning will be a key component of how your child will learn. Our foundation for learning will always start with the Ontario Curriculum, but our goal is to elevate the curriculum in the areas of reading, writing, math, and digital literacy.
Character Building
At EDGES we pride ourselves in embracing and modeling timeless “old school” values such as respect, accountability, discipline, resilience, and excellence. We believe that these values are the foundation for personal, academic, and athletic growth and success.
Experienced Teachers
With years of professional experience, our educators have a deep understanding of effective teaching methodology which allows them to create a dynamic, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. We understand that students learn differently and at different paces, so varied instruction, assessment, and evaluation are integral components of our approach.
Flexibility
As EDGES Academy combines athletics and a high standard of education, we understand that many of our high performing student athletes will need flexibility to ensure they can balance their education with their athletic goals. Gone are the days of missed lessons, failed evaluations, and incomplete assignments.
